About Sorrentino's Restaurant Group.
Sorrentino's started off as 'Sorrento' as many of our guests will remember. The first Sorrento restaurant was opened in 1979 in the Castledowns area of Edmonton with very limited resources, but lots of "sweat equity." These were difficult years, but through hard work, perseverance and personal sacrifice, the business survived, and then thrived. In 1986, the first Sorrentino's opened and is still in operation today as one of five Sorrentino's restaurants.
Maurizio Saccomanno and Carmelo Rago, father-in-law and son-in-law, made a good team. Their skills and knowledge complemented each other. Both were fully committed to uncompromising food quality and 100% guest satisfaction. Although he is no longer with us, Maurizio Saccomanno's legacy lives on in Sorrentino's today. His ethics and skills continue to guide us toward growth and prosperity.
Sorrentino's Restaurant Group continues to grow through the expansion of both the Sorrentino's concept and the various other fine and casual dining concepts, including Bistecca Italian Steakhouse + Wine Bar, O'Maille's Irish Pub, the authentic Italian Caffè Sorrentino franchise and our newest venture: Buco Pizzeria + Vino. As we grow, we remain committed to the principle that has guided our success: uncompromising food quality and 100% guest satisfaction.
Above all, Sorrentino's is committed to the community in which they serve. Their annual festivals and events are always in support of a special cause. In particular they are committed to supporting Sorrentino's Compassion House "A home away from home for breast cancer patients and their families."
As hands-on owners, Carmelo and Stella Rago, Frank Saccomanno and their corporate team are committed to supporting the growth of the company with full-time attention and effort. The success of our company is built upon it; its continued prosperity depends on it.
To all of our guests for over 30 years ... Grazie!
